WHAT IS APPLIED MATHEMATICS COMPETENCE?
Applied mathematics is the application of mathematics to fields such as physics, engineering, medicine, biology, finance, business, computer science, and industry. For example, the application of mathematics in the insurance sector is known as actuarial mathematics, as well as the application of mathematics in finance known as financial mathematics. Another example, The term "applied mathematics" also describes a professional specialization in which mathematicians solve practical problems by first formulating and modeling in mathematical models models.
Today, the term "applied mathematics" is used more often in a broader sense. Like cryptography, it is a field that applies number theory to being a part of pure mathematics now in important applications, although they are not generally considered to be part of the field of applied mathematics itself. Sometimes the term "applied mathematics" is used to distinguish between the traditional applied mathematics that developed alongside physics and the many areas of mathematics that can be applied to today's real problems.
