Cultivating Empathy and Solidarity in the 2025 Himatika Social Service Activities at the Dharma Jati II Orphanage
The Social Service Activity is one of the series of activities from the work program of the Mathematics Student Association at Udayana University for the 2025 period, which operates in the field of community service. This activity is carried out over one day, with the agenda of delivering educational materials and providing social assistance through donations to those in need. The activity involves students from the Mathematics Study Program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, who are registered as the organizing committee for the Himatika Social Service Activity 2025. All committee members have roles and responsibilities in ensuring the success of the activity, both during preparation and during implementation at the activity location.
This activity serves as a platform
for students to understand the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher
Education at Udayana University, particularly in community service. In
addition, the activity aims to foster a sense of social concern, strengthen
familial relationships between students and the community, and provide tangible
benefits to those receiving social assistance.
The Himatika Social Service Activity
2025 was held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Panti Asuhan Dharma Jati II,
Penatih, East Denpasar Sub-District, Denpasar City, Bali. The activity started
at 09:00 and ended at 13:00 WITA, featuring a series of events including the
delivery of educational materials and the handover of social assistance. The
activity was attended by active students from the Mathematics Study Program at
the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, from the
2022, 2023, and 2024 cohorts as the implementing committee, as well as invited
lecturers. Through this activity, it is hoped that students can enhance their
empathy, solidarity, and social responsibility towards others, while
strengthening the spirit of togetherness within the academic community
environment.
