GUEST LECTURE WITH DUMARIA TAMPUBOLON, LECTURER OF INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG


The Udayana University Mathematics Study Program held an online guest lecture on Saturday (11/06) with the theme "Research Topics in the Non-Life Insurance Sector". The seminar was officially opened by the Deputy Dean of the Academic and Planning Section of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, Dr. Drs. G.K. Gandhiadi, M.T. The guest lecturer who was invited to this guest lecture was Dra. Dumaria Rulina Tampubolon, M.Sc., Ph.D. who is a lecturer in the Statistics expertise group, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Institut Teknologi Bandung.


The title that Dumaria took was "Actuarial Science in Managing the Risk of Financial Losses: Presenting Some Case Studies". She conveyed several key lecture materials, including the definition of actuarial science, the impact of Covid-19 on insurance industries, some case studies and collaboration between the “Three Pillars” in the Non-Bank financial institutions. On this occasion, Dumaria also encouraged Mathematics students to continue to study and play an active role in research in the field of Non-Life insurance. (rat)
