International Expert Prof. Dr. Shakir Ali Inspires Udayana University with Guest Lecture on Abstract Algebra Applications
Bukit Jimbaran, July 2, 2025 – A rare opportunity presented itself to the academic community of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Udayana University when Professor Dr. Shakir Ali from Aligarh Muslim University, India, delivered a guest lecture on abstract mathematics.
Professor Ali was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Dean I of FMIPA, who opened the event by expressing his appreciation for the presence of this international professor. Faculty members and students from FMIPA actively participated in the session, which was filled with enthusiasm.
In his presentation, Prof. Ali discussed complex concepts under the title "On Certain Identities Involving Derivations in Rings." This topic delves into abstract algebra and highlights its relevance to modern technologies such as cryptography and coding theory. Through the session, he also shared insights from his extensive research, which includes over one hundred publications in prestigious global journals.
Attendees were given the chance to engage in direct discussions that enriched students’ understanding of current mathematical research topics. The motivation to establish international collaborations and expand research networks was an important message conveyed by Prof. Ali.
