LOGARITMA UDAYANA 2025

Logaritma Udayana 2025 is an annual written and scientific mathematics competition organized by the Mathematics Students Association (Himatika) of Udayana University. This event featured three competition categories: essay writing, public poster presentation, and KMS (Mathematics and Statistics Competition). The competition is nationally tiered across Indonesia, with the following categories: essay competitions for high school and university levels, digital poster competition for high school and university levels, the Mathematics Competition for elementary, junior high, and senior high school students, and the Statistics Competition for senior high school students.


The Logaritma Udayana 2025 event was conducted in a hybrid format (online-offline). Registration for all three competitions was conducted online. The poster and essay competitions were held entirely online, while the KMS competition was held in a hybrid format: the preliminary round took place on October 18, 2025, via Zoom Meetings. The semifinal and final rounds were held on October 25, 2025, at the Wiswakarma Hall, Faculty of Engineering, and the Postgraduate Building, FMIPA, Udayana University Campus Sudirman. The semifinal and final rounds of the KMS competition coincided with the climax of Logaritma Udayana 2025 and were held simultaneously with the final essay presentation.


The event was attended by judges for the KMS and essay competitions, faculty lecturers from the Mathematics program, student organizations from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Himatika executive committee members, participants, and their accompanying supervisors. A total of 79 participants attended the semifinal round, distributed as follows: 18 participants from the elementary school mathematics competition, 19 from the junior high school mathematics competition, 21 from the senior high school mathematics competition, and 21 from the senior high school statistics competition.


The peak event of Logaritma Udayana 2025 took place on October 25, 2025, from 07:30 WITA to 16:30 WITA. The event began at 07:30 WITA with registration for all guests and participants. The opening ceremony commenced at 08:00 WITA, starting with MC opening, prayer recitation, the national anthem, Udayana University hymn, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences anthem, and the Mathematics anthem. This was followed by a report from the head of the organizing committee, Wirya Chandra Adiwijaya, and several welcoming speeches: a speech by Ni Kadek Kleo Dwi Handayani, President of Himatika; a message from Ibu I Gusti Ayu Made Srinadi, M.Si., Coordinator of the Mathematics Study Program; and a speech from Ibu Prof. Ni Nyoman Rupiasih, M.Si., Ph.D., Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, who then officially opened the Logaritma Udayana 2025 event by striking the gong three times. The opening ceremony was held at Wiswakarma Hall, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University Campus Sudirman.


At 08:50 WITA, a room transition and preparation for the KMS semifinal took place at the Postgraduate Building of FMIPA, lasting 60 minutes. Concurrently, the final essay presentations began online at 08:50 WITA and lasted for 370 minutes. The KMS semifinal round started precisely at 09:50 WITA, with a 90-minute work duration lasting until 11:20 WITA. After the semifinal, a 40-minute break was held for rest, religious observance, and lunch. At the end of the break, participants returned to the Postgraduate Building FMIPA for the announcement of finalists, with 10 finalists selected from each category: elementary, junior high, senior high school mathematics, and senior high school statistics. Following the announcement, a 10-minute preparation phase for the final KMS round was conducted, with the final round commencing at 12:05 WITA, lasting 90 minutes until 13:55 WITA.


After the final KMS round concluded, participants were directed to a 30-minute rest, after which they returned to Wiswakarma Hall, Faculty of Engineering, to enjoy entertainment activities such as ice-breaking games and a vocal solo performance by active mathematics students. This was followed by concluding messages from participants and accompanying supervisors. The judges then announced the winners of each category. The MC announced the award winners, starting with the poster competition, then the essay competition, and finally the KMS competition. Prizes were awarded as follows:

    1. Poster Competition: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Favorite Winner

    2. Essay Competition: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place

    3. KMS Competition: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place, and 4th to 10th Ranking

The event concluded with a closing speech by Luh Gede Ratih Indra Komala, Vice-Chair of the Organizing Committee, who officially closed Logaritma Udayana 2025.


Logaritma Udayana 2025 was a well-executed and smooth event, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the entire organizing committee. Although minor challenges arose during the event, they were successfully handled and resolved by the team.
