Matca Batch I 2026: Real Action by the Mathematics Student Association (HIMATIKA) of Udayana University in Environmental Conservation at Kedonganan Beach
BADUNG – The Mathematics Student Association (HIMATIKA) of Udayana University successfully held the Matca Batch I (Mathematics Loves Nature) 2026 event on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Embracing the spirit of community service, the event was centered on the coast of Kedonganan Beach, Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.
Matca Batch I is one of the flagship work programs of Field 4 (Community Service) of HIMATIKA for the 2026 term. As an implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, this activity involves various parties, including the Mathematics Study Program Coordinator, lecturers within the Mathematics Study Program, representatives of student organizations within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, and all the committee members and participants of Matca Batch I 2026.
Starting from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. WITA (Central Indonesian Time), this social activity focused on cleaning up plastic waste and other debris polluting the coastal area. In addition to maintaining environmental cleanliness, Matca Batch I was also designed to foster students' concern for environmental sustainability and strengthen bonds of brotherhood through concrete actions for the community and the surrounding environment.
Through this activity, it is hoped that awareness of the importance of preserving coastal ecosystems will continue to grow, in line with the community service vision and mission of Udayana University students.
