Mathematics National Seminar IV

Saturday, October 30, 2021. The National Seminar on Mathematics which is held every 2 years is a routine activity organized by the Mathematics Study Program, FMIPA UNUD with the aim of (a) disseminating the results of research conducted by observers, researchers, lecturers/teachers, and Mathematics experts and their applied sciences. in Indonesia; (b) build collaborations and networks among lovers of Mathematics and its applied sciences; and (c) contribute actively to national development through research findings in the field of Mathematics and its applications. The National Seminar on Mathematics IV carries the theme "The Role of Mathematics and Its Application in the Big Data Era"

In this seminar, we invited two keynote speakers, namely Dr. Ir. Wayan Koster, M.M. as the Governor of the Province of Bali, but as an excuse the Governor was unable to attend due to an agenda that cannot be abandoned, and Mrs. Dra. Ni Luh Watiniasih, M.Sc., Ph.D. as Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University; and three invited speakers who will present the main papers at the plenary session, namely Prof. Dr. Khairil A. Notodiputro, Professor of the Bogor Agricultural Institute; Mr. Prof. Dr. Atje Setiawan A., M.S, M.Kom, Professor of Padjadjaran University, and Mrs. Putu Ayu G. Sudyanti, Ph.D. as Machine Learning Scientist. Profound appreciation and gratitude were conveyed to the keynote speakers and invited speakers who were pleased to attend this seminar.

At this seminar, there were 46 call papers from several higher education institutions in Indonesia, such as Bogor Agricultural University, Padjajaran University, Gadjah Mada University, Bandung Institute of Technology, Larantuka Institute of Teacher Training and Technology, STIS Statistics Polytechnic, Udayana University, SMP N 3 Gerokgak, Ahmad Dahlan University, Mataram University, Brawijaya University, IST AKPRIND, PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya, Tridharma Anduonohu ??Green Earth Campus, Directorate of Statistical Analysis and Development, and the Jakarta Central Statistics Agency. In addition to the 46 papers that will be presented online, there are also 220 non-presenters registered, bringing the total number of seminar participants to 266.

The holding of this seminar cannot be separated from the strong support of Udayana University and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNUD so that the academic climate at Udayana University grows and develops in a healthy, quality manner, and provides benefits to the Indonesian nation and state. On this occasion, Ketut Tari Tastrawati, S.Si., M.Si as the head of the committee expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Chancellor of UNUD and his staff; and to the Dean of FMIPA UNUD for the encouragement, support, and facilities provided. We would also like to thank all the committees who have worked hard for the success of this seminar, and to other parties that we cannot mention in full.
