Mathematics Teaching 2026: Himatika Udayana’s Real Community Service Action for the Young Generation at SD Negeri 4 Tegallalang

    Matematika Mengajar 2026 is one of the programs under Division IV of Community Service within the 2026 Himatika Udayana board. This activity was conducted in two sessions, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, held offline at GF B Building, Mathematics Study Program, FMIPA, Universitas Udayana as a volunteer training session, and on Saturday, September 5, 2026, held offline at SD Negeri 4 Tegallalang, Tegallalang, Gianyar, Bali as the main event day, as a concrete effort to support and enhance elementary school children's mathematical skills and understanding.

    During the volunteer training session, the event began with participant registration. Next, the Head of the Committee delivered an opening speech, presented a social campaign regarding the donation drive for the Matematika Mengajar 2026 program, and outlined the overall concept of the activity. The session continued with the Academic Division interactively presenting the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and volunteer job descriptions, interspersed with teaching simulation practices until the entire training series was completed.

    On the main event day, the program started with the registration of participants and invited guests, followed by a joint prayer to invoke smooth proceedings. The opening ceremony featured a report from the Head of the Committee, remarks by the Chairman of Himatika Udayana, remarks by the Principal of SD Negeri 4 Tegallalang, and remarks by the Coordinator of the Mathematics Study Program. The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean I of FMIPA Universitas Udayana, followed by the presentation of certificates of collaboration and appreciation awards. Entering the core activities, teaching sessions were held where Class Person-in-Charge (PJ) alongside volunteers led interactive mathematics learning activities in their respective classrooms. This session was also integrated with the distribution of gift packages to students by the Class PJ, before the entire event concluded memorably in each class.

    The objectives of the Matematika Mengajar 2026 activity are to foster elementary school students' interest and understanding in learning mathematics, as well as to develop soft skills, leadership, and sense of social responsibility of active students in the Mathematics Study Program of Universitas Udayana.
