Promoting Quality Accreditation: Mathematics Department FMIPA Unud Conducts FGD on Curriculum OBE Integration with SIMAK
The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, continues to strengthen its commitment to delivering internationally standardized higher education by systematically implementing an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum integrated with the Academic Information Management System (SIMAK). As a follow-up to the previous SIMAK-OBE workshop, the Mathematics Study Program teaching team initiated a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to discuss strategies for accurately and consistently inputting OBE curriculum data into the system. This activity is a crucial step in preparing for national and international accreditation and in ensuring that graduate learning outcomes (PLOs) are measurable, well-documented, and sustainably evaluated through an integrated digital platform.
During the FGD, lecturers discussed various technical aspects, including mapping PLOs to courses, establishing performance indicators, configuring assessment settings, and defining data input workflows for course lecturers. The discussion also produced strategic recommendations for conducting hands-on workshops for all study programs within FMIPA to ensure consistent understanding and operational readiness. Active support from the UP3M unit and cross-program collaboration are key to transforming OBE from an academic framework into a culture of education delivery that is results-oriented and continuously quality-improving
